Together Oakwood Project: A curation of art and written works, about our community, by our community. Our canvas submission period is over. Plan to participate in the Community Creation Day on December 4th.
2-4 year olds and their accompanying adults are invited to attend Mrs. Mills’ traditionally-styled storytime. We'll share stories and rhymes, songs and crafts to build our social and school-readiness skills! This spring, we’re having fun with fairytale and math themes. Terrific Tales from 4/11/17 to 5/9/17 will be held in the YS room.
Make a family memory at the library—and leave the mess to us! The library supplies graham crackers and frosting for you to build gingerbread houses! Bring your own candies to accessorize and decorate the structure. Playclothes encouraged. Finished houses may be taken home or submitted to Youth Services for a cheery display.
2016 is proving to be a highly divisive year in national and local news. The Library is proud to be Open to All, a place of unity no matter what is going on in the wider world. This fall, we are reaching out to actively build unity through the Together Oakwood Project! The Library wants to hear from you about all that you love best about Oakwood—its heroes, its characters, its traditions, its goodness. What brings us together and makes us a better Oakwood? Let’s tell that story!
