Artist, author and poet, Pete Mitas, will read from his new book Spirited Nonsense Sunday, March 9th at 2 p.m. Inspired by the stories of O. Henry, the poems of Shel Silverstein, Mad Magazine, and The Onion, Mitas has fun creating a new context for common words and phrases. The result is Nonsense that is sure to surprise and delight. The Dayton-area, community-wide Big Read is back and runs from March 10 - April 19, 2014. This year's book is Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. Wright Library will host a book discussion at the April 8th On-the-Road at Starbucks Book Club meeting and there are many more events planned throughout the community.
