Join Poor Will's Almanack creator, Bill Felker, as he shares what he's learned from close observation of the natural world over many years and how his life has been enriched by connecting with nature. "My interest in nature began as a child, then was sidetracked by school, career and family, until my 40s, when I stopped smoking and walked the woods and fields day after day, taking notes and redirecting my addiction. I ended up making a daybook with observations for most days since that time – forty years of days, in fact. I share those observations in my newspaper column for the Dayton Daily News and other papers." He will also discuss Douglas Tallamy’s important book, Nature’s Best Hope and answer questions from the audience.
