earth day 50Did you know that you can support bees, butterflies, birds, and insects by cultivating native plants in your yard? Many traditional landscaping plants are beautiful but don't provide the nutrition needed by native animal species. Learn how to incorporate beneficial plants into your yard and landscaping plans, and bring your questions for our expert. Presented by Landscape Architect and Five Rivers Metroparks Planning Manager, Eric Sauer.

Eric Sauer is a degreed and registered landscape architect (RLA) who has practiced in a wide variety of project types including residential, commercial and public settings. He is currently the Planning Manager for Five Rivers MetroParks and is responsible for the planning of over 16,000 acres in the Miami Valley. He has focused on low impact designs and has led the Miami Valley in designing and implementing rain gardens, water harvesting and permeable pavements.
