How to Get Started with Wright Library’s Cricut Joy

1. Create a Cricut ID
2. Download the free software, Cricut Design Space
   1. Desktop
   2. Android Play Store: Search for “Cricut Design Space”
   3. Apple App Store: Search for “Cricut Design Space”
3. The Cricut Joy is not compatible with a USB cord. If you want to use the Cricut Joy with your computer, it must have Bluetooth enabled in order to connect with the Cricut Joy wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Materials Info:
We provide the following materials to use in your checkout:

• 1 Sheet Transfer Tape
• *3 Sheet Permanent Vinyl (1 white, 1 black, 1 color (color may vary) 
• *1 Sheet Removable Vinyl (color may vary)
• 1 Card
• 1 Envelope
• 1 Foil Sheet
• 1 Sheet of Foil Tape Strips

Note: The above are considered consumables and do not need to be returned.

*Smart Materials must be at least 6 in long to use without a cutting mat. You can still use shorter pieces by placing them on the appropriate mat. 

If you wish to buy any additional materials to use for your projects with the Cricut, please do. Mat Info:
We provide the following mats with the Cricut:

• 4.5 x 6 inch Standard Grip Mat (Green)
• 4.5 x 12 inch Lightweight Grip Mat (Blue)
• Lightweight Card Grip Mat (White and Blue)

Please Note: Each mat comes with a special plastic film cover to help keep it sticky. Take off the plastic film before using the Cricut, but put the plastic cover back on when you are done and before returning.
