To validate a new library card, we require:

• proof of your identity
• proof of your current address

This proof is also required to validate a change of address for an existing library card/account. 

Applicants under 18: see below for more information. 

Proof of Identity

Proof of identity should be a current photo ID, such as:

• Valid driver's license
• State ID
• Passport
• Student ID
• Military ID
• Other identification containing photo + first and last name

Proof of Address

Proof of address can include:

• Valid driver's license (if the address is current)
• Recent utility bill
• Recent pay stub
• Lease agreement
• Voter registration card
• Recently post marked mail addressed to the applicant

Applicants under 18

For standard library cards: applicants under 18, a parent or legal guardian's ID and proof of address is required. Both child and parent must appear in person.

For eCards: a parent's ID is only required for eCard applicants under 18 if the minor does not have their own valid photo ID with current address.
