nature's best hope  A Five Rivers MetroParks Event       Borrow a Copy

Join our online discussion as Outdoor Education Coordinator Douglas Horvath shares observations and questions raised by Douglas Tallamy’s book, Nature’s Best Hope, A New Approach to Conservation That Starts in Your Yard. We encourage you to read his book before our one hour program exploring steps you can take to help realize the powerful conservation vision inspired by Tallamy. Five Rivers MetroParks is partnering with Wright Memorial Public Library to celebrate Earth Day with a community read of Tallamy’s work and his virtual visit on April 29th.

In addition to being an Outdoor Education Coordinator for Five Rivers MetroParks Douglas Horvath is a Naturalist, Chair of Miami Valley Leave No Child Inside, Co-chair of Dayton Regional Green's Connect to Nature Task Group, and a Board Member of Family Engagement Collaborative.
