The community comes together at Wright Library - From our public meeting rooms to events and programs for all ages and interests - Wright Library is the hub of the Oakwood community.
Some of our unique services beyond books include:
- Technology support at weekly Tech Tutoring where librarians help troubleshoot that new phone or tablet - or whatever technology glitch you need to overcome. We also welcome you to explore the Memory Digitization Lab, where you can digitize photos, VHS, cassettes, film, slides, and more.
- The Library of Things collection contains Makerboxes - kits for hobbies, special interests, learning, and even tools to complete home projects. You can also borrow tablets, hot spots, and other mobile devices or explore Dayton with Doorway to Dayton Museum Passes.
- Important but infrequent needs such as Notary, Passports, or Voting Information can all be found at your library.
- Indulge yourself in books and media. Check out Binge Wright movie box sets, sign up for Wright Reads curated book lists or other newsletters for your special interests, or ask a librarian about this week's Book Flight or Fast Reads book selections.
- Walk the Native Plants Gardens and absorb resources for supporting birds and pollinators in your own yard.
