Join a community book discussion during Transgender Awareness Week
Each year between November 13 – 19, people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness Week to help raise the visibility about transgender people and address issues members of the community face.
As part of Transgender Awareness Week, join Wright Library to discuss Jennifer Finney Boylan’s memoir She’s Not There: A Life in Two Genders, a funny and touching chronicle of the life of James/Jenny Boylan from childhood through a career as a successful college professor, author, and musician. Boylan was a husband and father of two when he could no longer ignore what he had spent his life trying to deny – inside, he was actually a woman.
Let’s Talk Series
This event is part of Wright Library's Let's Talk Series, dedicated to in-depth respectful conversation among neighbors.
