Antiracism: Spotlight on the Moment, 7-9pm Tuesday June 23, 2020
This event has already taken place. See other upcoming conversations
Worldwide protests have exploded in recent weeks after the killings of unarmed black Americans, including George Floyd in Minnesota, Breonna Taylor in Kentucky, and Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia. Join us for the opportunity to process the tragedies, respond to the uprising of support for Black Lives Matter, and consider what might come next.
Talking about racism can feel uncomfortable, but not talking about it allows injustice to continue. Join Wright Library and SURJ - Ohio (Showing Up for Racial Justice) for ongoing conversations about understanding and addressing racism in America. Everyone is welcome. All participants agree to be open-minded, accepting, curious, discovery-oriented, sincere, and respectful. Presented in partnership with SURJ - Ohio (Showing up for Racial Justice)
Registration Required. These virtual events are interactive video sessions held on zoom. Registrants will receive an email invitation to the event.
