When you apply for a library card, proof of your identity and your current address is required to validate your card.
Proof is also required to validate a change of address to an existing account in our records.
Proof of identity should be a current photo ID, such as:
- Valid driver's license
- State ID
- Passport
- Student ID
- Military ID
- Other identification containing photo + first and last name
Proof of address can include:
- Valid driver's license (if the address is current)
- Recent utility bill
- Recent pay stub
- Lease agreement
- Voter registration card
- Recently post marked mail addressed to the applicant
Applicants under 18
For standard library card applicants under 18, a parent or legal guardian's ID and proof of address is required. Both child and parent must appear in person.
For eCard applicants under 18, a parent's ID is only required if you don't have your own valid photo ID with current address.
